Camp Overview
Across five focused days, students learn the core building blocks that power real programs and then layer on practical AI integration using the ChatGPT API. Each day blends concise instruction with hands-on coding so beginners see tangible progress from the first session. By the final day, every student has built a working AI chatbot, completed a data project, and developed the confidence to keep building independently.
Camp Curriculum
Day 1: Getting Started With Python
Set up Replit, run your first program, and master inputs, variables and the print function. Build small, practical scripts that introduce the rhythm of writing and running code in the browser.
Day 2: Decisions and Logic
Use if, elif and else to make programs respond to user input. Build a working quiz and a logic-driven calculator that give different outputs based on clear rules.
Day 3: Loops and Data Structures
Use for and while loops to automate actions, and introduce lists and dictionaries to store and manipulate data. Build a guessing game and a small data-driven utility that tracks state across runs.
Day 4: Functions and AI Integration
Organise code with functions and connect Python to the ChatGPT API. Build a working AI chatbot with a custom personality, learning how to send prompts and process responses programmatically.
Day 5: Data Project, Polish and Showcase
Combine everything into a hands-on data project that uses Python and AI together. Polish your code, present your work to the group, receive feedback, and leave with a clear roadmap for continued learning.

Equipment Preparation
A computer (Mac or Windows) with Chrome and Zoom installed. A stable internet connection, webcam and microphone are required.
Tools We Will Use
Replit for browser-based Python development, the ChatGPT API for AI integration, and Python as the core programming language.
