An introduction to building software with AI.
Instead of writing code line by line, students learn to architect solutions using structured natural language prompts and professional AI development tools. Across four focused sessions, students progress from their first prompt to a multi-component web application. Each class combines concise instruction with hands-on building so students see tangible output from the first session. By the final class, every student has designed, built, and deployed a working application to a live web address.
Course Curriculum
Class 1: Setup and First Build
Set up AI development tools in the browser, write your first structured prompt, and produce a working component before the session ends.
Class 2: Interface Design with AI
Build a user interface through AI prompts. Review generated output, identify problems, and refine instructions until the design matches your vision.
Class 3: Logic, Features, and Integration
Connect your interface to working functionality. Add interactive features and troubleshoot until all parts of the application work together.
Class 4: Debug, Deploy, and Showcase
Fix errors, polish the application, deploy it to a live URL, and present the finished product to the group.
